MVOX Parents Band
Or
"Mps"
About Us!
The Parent's Band or "The MP's" was formed after a request from Stewart MacDonald (bass player) to MVOX co-ordinator Julie Robertson to form a band of parents, and associates in order to enhance parent, tutor and student relations.
The band has proved to work well with final year music tech students working along side parents and tutor to produce some outstanding results.
These musicians have given up valuable time and money at weekends in order to work together towards, what proved to be, an outstanding debut performance on 5th June 2008.

Meet The Band!

"Just this year turned wrong side of 60, but only feel 30…..well 40…..well???
Started playing in groups back in 1964 and from 1966 through to 1973 played with a Scottish Band called “Pendulum” – no not the one currently in the charts!!
We were voted a few times by the NME as top semi pro band in Scotland and had the pleasure of supporting acts such as Status Quo, Thin Lizzy, Manfred Man’s Earth Band, The Tremeloes, when they toured Scotland.
My musical influences to begin with were The Beatles, The Hollies, The Byrds, Bob Dylan, Cream and then I graduated through to Crosby Stills & Nash and the Flying Berretta Brothers, before landing with the best band ever….The Eagles.
I’ve thoroughly enjoyed teaming up with the others in the Mvox Parent's Band and enjoyed being on stage again on 5th June."
